The first snowfall of the season has arrived, so that means it is time to share my winter essentials with you all! Hope you enjoy these lovely items! (All the items that I purchased myself are linked in the details below)
Riding Boots
My first essential this winter goes out to these brown
boots. To be honest, these boots have barely even left my feet since Christmas.
They are super comfy and dress up any outfit. I usually wear them with
leggings, boot socks, and a sweater.
They are made by Guess. I got them from Macy’s and used a
coupon, so the total was about $50.00. While this does seem like a lot of money
(especially for frugal me), I know that I will get a lot of use from these
shoes. They are well made, so I expect them to last for many winters to come!
Fox Beanie
I bought this hat from the clearance section at JC Penny. As
soon as I saw it I fell in love with the little ears on the top. Since wearing
this hat, I don’t think I have ever received so many compliments in my life.
The lady who checked me out at JC Penny actually asked if she could cut the tags
off so she could see me wear the hat out of the store. Since then, everywhere I
wear this hat, from the doctor’s office to shopping malls; people always stop
me to compliment my little fox. It is $9.99 on the JC Penny website now, but
act fast because it is on clearance and will be gone soon!!
Sugar Scrub
This was a Christmas gift from my best friend and co-writer
of this blog. This adorable mason jar filled with a DIY sugar scrub makes your
skin so soft and gives me motivation to actually shave my legs in the winter.
The best part about it is the smell- I almost want to eat it whenever I open
the jar. It is a very wintery smell that leaves skin smelling absolutely
wonderful. I want to somehow take the scent of this and put it into a perfume.
I would wear that every single day of the winter season.
Stay tuned for a blog post from Morgan about tips and tricks
to making this wonderful scrub!
Giraffe Mug
This was another Christmas gift, gifted to me by one of my
lovely college friends. I must admit that I have a slight giraffe obsession,
and this mug is probably the cutest mug I have ever seen. She drew the giraffe
on a white mug with sharpie, and then baked it in the oven so it would stay
permanently on the mug. It is wonderful to drink hot chocolate out of on super
cold winter days.
Now that I have all of my winter essentials together,
In the lyrics of Jule Styne, "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!"
(I know this one was kind of cheesy, but it is snowing and I just can't resist)
Have a wonderful day and stay warm!
Toodles!
